Poás Volcano National Park (One Day Tour)

Is one of the largest geysers in the world. It has an awesome crater, over 1.5 km. wide! The volcano is active, but completely safe for to view. This tour begins with a beautiful drive through the lush coffee plantations and flower farms of the area.

In addition to the volcano and the National Park have 9,884 hectares reserve with rich tropical vegetation and animal life. The tour includes a hike through the surrounding forest that is teemed with typical plant life and exotic birds. The hike concludes at a restful, emerald green and a tropical lagoon.

Suggested Equipment: sweater, camera, binoculars, comfortable shoes and rain coat.

Irazu Volcano National Park (One Day Tour)

The winding road travels through fertile lands cultivated with all kinds of vegetables as we enjoy a lovely panoramic view. At the top of the volcano you can observe the main crater and on a clear day both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans can be seen.

As we descend to Cartago city we will stop at the Virgin of the Angels Church that according to religious custom is a peregrination site for many believers.

Suggested Equipment:  hat, jacket, walking shoes, binoculars and camera.

Arenal Volcano & Hot Springs (One Day Tour)

The Arenal Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in America. From our point of view we think that this experience is unforgettable because of the amazing and surprising things like feeling the tremble ground and seeing the nightly sky exploded with ash and lava in a natural firework. Next, we will visit the hot springs of the volcano, where you can relax in the soothing waters and be caressed by the cool night air, while observing the stars and the incredible sky above the volcano. When you arrive, we will receive you with a splendid dinner.

This is an absolutely evening you will not want to miss in Costa Rica!

On this tour we will also visit the town of Sarchí, well known for the beauty of the handcrafts they produce. (Lunch and dinner included).

Pueblo Antiguo (The Old Town of Costa Rica) / (Night Tour)

Costa Rican Night Tour is a spectacle that shows the XIX century traditions. Enjoy this demonstration, that combines beliefs, dress, architecture, music, dance and foods in a full of humor way. This will take you directly to the roots of Costa Rica.

Pueblo Antiguo is a theme park, which shows the architectural infrastructure that existed in San Jose in the beginning of the XX century.  It is a place composed of recreations of old buildings. It has activities such as folkloric dances, professional actor’s masquerades and other memories traditions.

Suggested gear: sweater and camera.
Important: This tour runs only on Tuesday, Fridays and Saturdays.

San José City Tour (Half Day Tour / in the morning or afternoon)

Starting on the East side of San Jose, the first thing we will see is Democracy Plaza, the National Museum, the National Court, Los Yoses, San Pedro Mall, Hispanidad Fountain and the Rodrigo Facio Campus on the University of Costa Rica.

After we have seen the capital’s main attractions, our first stop will be in the impressive Pre-Columbian Gold Museum and in the beautiful National Theater where we will have a guided visit tour through these cultural gems.

After our visit, the tour continues throw the western section of San Jose: La Sabana Metropolitan Park(first International Airport in Costa Rica), Costa Rican Contemporary Art Museum , the National Gymnasium, the Comptroller’s office, the residential area in Rohrmoser, the Nunciatura, the Nobel Peace Prize Winner and Republic President Oscar Arias Sanchez’s home, the Rohrmoser Boulevard and Pavas section.

At the end of the tour, you will have the opportunity of visiting an interesting shopping place where you will be able to buy souvenirs from your visit to San Jose.On Sunday, the National Theater is closed so we will only be able to see it from the outside.

Canopy Tour (One Day Tour)

Definitely an adventure you can’t miss. We depart the city towards the mountains that surround the Central Valley, with spectacular scenery of vegetation and extensive coffee plantations, ornamental plants, pictures of typical towns in Costa Rica. As we ascend, we will enjoy of climatic changes.

This is an experience that is enjoyed only once, as we slide from one platform to the next one by flying throw the canopy.  Canopy San Lorenzo is located in the middle of the tropical forest reserve in a beautiful area full of orchids, bromeliads and other ornamental plants.

From one platform to the next, the guide will explain the most important features of the forest. Finally, after only a short walk, we will have a delicious lunch in the restaurant Gran Vista.
